Welcome Shannon Tower to Afroknot!
Afroknot is the solo duo, bass & drum, one man / one woman band of Sean The Shag Nowland and Shannon Tower.
We have recorded drum beats from some of our favorite local drummers* and looped them on a couple- three Boss Loopstations.
Over those loops I perform live before your ears and eyes, rhythm tracks and bass lines over which I sing, solo, and rap.
Shannon Tower’s vocals and original lyrics only sweeten the mix!
We are a funky, rockin’, jazzy, volume appropriate and classy combo good for ambient lounge, big stage, and dance floor alike!
Afroknot has played at Gotham Tavern, Laurelthirst Public House, White Eagle, East Burn, The Spare Room, Buffalo Gap, Macadam Bar & Grill, Candy, The Jade Lounge, and Ethos Live.
